Galaxy Entertainment Junior Soccer Cup
This year, Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) became a title sponsor of the “GALAXY ENTERTAINMENT EUROJAPAN CUP 2019” which took place on 27 July at the Nissan Stadium in Yokohama. Prior to this event, GEG hosted the “Galaxy Entertainment Junior Soccer Cup” tournament in Yokohama, a further initiative aimed at supporting young soccer players and offering opportunities for local communities to enjoy the world’s best sports first-hand.
More than 300 youth players from 28 U-8 and U-10 soccer teams from Yokohama City took part in the Galaxy Entertainment Junior Soccer Cup. The qualifying tournament and semi-finals were held on July 15th at Aoba Skyfield, with the final matches held on 27th July at the Nissan Stadium prior to the “GALAXY ENTERTAINMENT EUROJAPAN CUP 2019” match. After an intensive and friendly competition amongst the teams, Noba Kickers from the U-8 category and Mamedo FC from the U-10 category were the crown champions.
At the opening ceremony of the GALAXY ENTERTAINMENT EUROJAPAN CUP 2019, the winning teams were given the opportunity to escort the players from Manchester City and Yokohama F. Marinos onto the pitch, which heralded another memorable moment. During the half-time break, Galaxy Entertainment Japan COO Mr. Ted Chan awarded winners’ trophies to the captains of the two victorious junior teams.
